Over the course of 2010, we've scoured the region high and low for inspirational weddings. Readers have voted online for their favourites, and now it's time to announce the grand final. Below are our four finalists - vote for the couple you'd like to walk away with the Wedding of the Year 2010 title.

Voting for the final closes on 17 February 2012.

Meet the finalists

Couple: Sarah and Alan Milliner
Date: 9th April, 2011
Venue: Horwood House, Milton Keynes
Colour scheme: Black and white

Sarah on...
Marriage:
The simple things like being with your best friend every day and knowing you are a family are what make being married so special. I love being with someone who knows me almost better than I know myself - it's wonderful.

Anniversary celebrations: We will be returning from three months of travelling around Asia, Australia and America, and our anniversary will fall on our first day back at work. Therefore, the celebrations will be quite low key with a romantic meal at home and a flick through the wedding photos.

Making it to the final: We are so surprised we made it this far in the competition! It has been a lovely experience as it has allowed us to reminisce about one of the happiest days of our lives.

Why they should win: We are so happy to have made it to the final and the magazines are a great keepsake for us to treasure. If we were lucky enough to win the competition, it would complete what has already been an amazing first year of marriage.

Couple: Vanessa and James Thompson
Date: 27th November, 2010
Venue: Northcote House, Sunningdale Park
Colour scheme: Emerald green and gold

Vanessa on...
Marriage:
I love knowing that, no matter what, James and I will always be there for one another as we are our own family unit now. We often talk about our plans and what we'll be like when we're old. I hope we can mirror James' grandparents and stay together for many years to come.

Anniversary celebrations: Our anniversary was in November and we went away for a romantic weekend to Stratford-upon-Avon. We stayed at Mallory Court - it was absolute bliss.

Making it to the final: It's really exciting! I love talking about our wedding so I have enjoyed sharing it with the readers and re-living it all over again.

Why they should win: James and I have been together since we were 18 and we've been inseparable ever since. Our wedding was a fun, family-oriented day and we'd love to say thank you to everyone who helped make it so special.

Couple: Elizabeth and Richard Wilson
Date: 9th April, 2011
Ceremony venue: St Peter's Church, Marlow
Reception venue: Monks' Barn, Hurley
Colour scheme: Red, blue and yellow.

Elizabeth on...
Marriage:
I love my new name! As a primary school teacher, it is quite a big deal when you change your surname and all the children were as excited as I was.

Anniversary celebrations: Our first anniversary is on Easter Monday and we will be spending it with family in the Lake District. We're looking forward to sneaking off for a lakeside walk and romantic meal together.

Making it to the final: It's very exciting to make it so far as we never really entertained the idea. I love the thought that engaged couples could be looking at our big day for inspiration.

Why they should win: For us, our wedding was perfect. We had all our family and friends there to enjoy it, the barn looked beautiful and the sun shone throughout.

Couple: Krista and Ian Jones
Date: 23rd July, 2011
Ceremony venue: St Nicolas Church, Wasing Park
Reception venue: Wasing Park, Aldermaston
Colour scheme: Ivory and Tiffany blue

Krista on...
Marriage:
The wedding marked a real change in our relationship as it made us step back and evaluate the time we've spent together - it has strengthened our bond. I love being a wife and it still gives me a thrill to be called Mrs Jones.

Anniversary celebrations: We are going back to Wasing Park and renting the cottage I stayed in the night before the wedding. We've ordered a replica of the top tier of our cake, I'm going to put my gown on and we'll have a barbecue!

Making it to the final: It feels incredible to make it this far but we are going up against some fantastic weddings in the final so we'll be keeping our fingers crossed for votes.

Why they should win: If we won I wouldn't stop smiling for weeks! Our big day was filled with love, happiness, family and friends, which is exactly what we think a wedding should be.

Stoke Park
In the heart of Stoke Poges lies Stoke Park and its 210-year old Georgian mansion, surrounded by 350 acres of beautifully manicured grounds, an 18-hole golf course, and an award-winning luxury spa.

The mansion's Romanesque façade and grand interiors make it an ideal setting for marriages and civil partnerships and wedding receptions. Couples can choose from three elegantly decorated rooms and a south-facing terrace licensed to hold a civil ceremony.

Stoke Park also made film history when its bridal suite was used as the romantic getaway setting in the 2001 film Bridget Jones' Diary. The 27-hole championship golf course featured prominently in the 1964 James Bond film Goldfinger, and more recently, the mansion made a star appearance in Layer Cake.

Couples getting married at Stoke Park have the services of a wedding coordinator and chef to ensure preparations for the big day run flawlessly, while the grounds make a splendid backdrop for romantic photos.
